Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)

ASIST is a two-day intensive, interactive and practice-dominated course aimed at providing people with the skills to spot the risk of suicide and provide immediate help to those at risk.

In the same way that skills are needed for physical first aid, ASIST develops the skills necessary for suicide first aid.

ASIST is the most widely used suicide intervention skills training in the world.
ASIST is suitable for anyone and participants come from all sectors and backgrounds. Sessions are run regularly all over Scotland.

HarmLESS Psychotherapy is working in partnership with Changes Community Health Project to meet the outcomes set out in A Sense of Belonging: Mental Health Strategy 2011-2015.
We provide training on ASIST for people living and/or working in East Lothian. If you would like to know more about this training get in contact with Brian Glass at CHANGES Community Health Project info@changeschp.org.uk
