Now a regular on the arts scene, the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival has grown to become one of Scotland's most valued cultural events. The Festival takes place in theatres, cinemas, libraries and community halls throughout October each year to help challenge attitudes towards mental health through the arts. More...

This is one of the largest arts and health events in the world. Hundreds of events take place between 1-24 October 2011. The full line up has now been announced. See the 'what's on' section for full details and how to book.

CAPS in the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival in October 2011.

This year we are running a number of events including Arts as Advocacy Workshops, discussion events and a ceilidh!  All events are free. Our two biggest events are:

Join the Festival – Community Open Day at Oor Mad History Exhibition – Thursday 13th October 12 – 4pm at North Edinburgh Arts Centre, Pennywell Court, Muirhouse

Exhibition open day including creative writing, music and art workshops and face painting – all welcome!

 Stomp Out Stigma Ceilidh – dancing and open mic spots as well as a chill out zone! – Friday 21st October 7.30pm – midnight at St Brides Centre, Orwell Terrace, Dalry

Come along and dance your socks off as well as listen to the range of talent out there in our open mic spots!
